Read "A Touch of Greatness, Part 1".

But the Spanish invasion is not over. In another format, Madrid-born, Nuria Pomares, performed in the scene of wedding festivities in Manual de Falla's "La Vida Breve" with the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, October 16-18 and 21. By far, she was the most impressive female performer of the Spanish season with her defiant, but not arrogant interpretation. Her line is beautiful and costumed in bright red with shawl, she stopped the show. She also used castanets, wooden clackers; an instrument no longer played in performance by an orchestra member, but heard on tape. What an exciting live sound it makes.

Remaining to come is a tango company, Volver Al Sur, November 7 and 8 at Symphony Space, Broadway at 95th Street and four exceptional companies coming in February to other sites. Olé.
