BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance & Treeline Dance Works partner to present, CODE OF INSTINCT, an evening of dance in pursuit of the emotional and physical complexities of human encounters in a fantastical environment. Dedicated to the creation of works rooted in the wellspring of memory and idiosyncrasy, these companies reproduce raw kinesthetic experiences using deeply investigated perspectives. CODE OF INSTINCT will perform on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 7pm at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 248 West 60th Street, New York City. Tickets start at $20. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit www.manhattanmovement.com/calendar.

CODE OF INSTINCT is a split bill production that will feature two world premieres. BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance will be performing World Two of The Mantises Are Flipping (P.S. I'll have whatever they're having). Set to an original composition performed live by Ryan Edwards, this piece investigates reactions and relationships to sound and explores various dualities through movement. The work invites the viewer to contemplate the relative nature of normalcy through the comedic and imaginative atmosphere of The Mantises Are Flipping.

Led by Artistic Co-Director Lyndsey Vader, Treeline Dance Works will present Inherited Season—a glimpse through a cracked window of a lived history that embraces notions of home and heritage. The work is a mosaic of tale-telling and a recollection of sensations past.

BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance and Treeline Dance Works are dedicated to the creation and performance of new work, nationwide and internationally. Recent performances include Les 7eme Rencontres UPPAdance (France), Abundance Dance Festival (Sweden), Booking Dance Festival (Scotland), Jazz at Lincoln Center, Bryant Park SummerStage, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, ICA Boston, 92nd Street Y, and Dixon Place.

"Bodystories: Teresa Fellion Dance have stepped bravely up to the mirror and refused to shy away from our most unpleasant characteristics, while unfailingly celebrating the potential for beauty within each of us. Through repeated movements, loving touches and some of the angriest dance I have ever seen women undertake on the stage, this group has created true magic."
- Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

"[Treeline Dance Works] demonstrates how technical prowess can meet childlike playfulness…These ladies are not only capable of great feats of agility, but also of an honest connectedness to each other on stage." – idanz
