This unique work was presented at The Lab Gallery. The Lab Gallery is a space that normally would be a store, probably a high end boutique, but is currently being used as a performance space. Inside, Caron Eule, Yuu Fujita, Erin Hunter Jennings, Amy Santos and Alexa Weir danced choreography by Caron Eule developed with improvisation by the dancers, with installation, video and costumes by Yuliya Lanina. The music was by Deerhoof, Regina Spektor, Pizzicato 5, Bjork, Herbaliser, John Zorn and Rimsky-Korsakoff. Outside, a crowd gathered to watch the performance through the windows. The costumes and set were very fanciful. The work loosely depicted the progression of life. They started as fuzzy caterpillars who squirmed around before shedding their brightly colored skins. The dancers put on butterfly wings and danced around the space. The combination of the dance and the costumes was successful in depicting the creatures' movements. The whole production was daring and not at all what one expects in Midtown.
