Boston, MA – March 22, 2008 – The New Center for Arts and Culture, in cooperation with Facing History and Ourselves announced that the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange and the internationally treasured Armenian troupe Sayat Nova Dance Company will perform for the first time together at 7:30 p.m. on March 22 at the Cutler Emerson Majestic Theater in Boston, MA. These two dance groups will create a new piece that will provoke and inspire us with probing explorations of mass violence in our time and a healing reflection on the scope of human compassion.
"Out of Darkness" is part of the exciting programming planned in conjunction with "Choosing To Participate: Facing History and Ourselves", an exhibition that encourages people of all ages to consider the consequences of their everyday choices to make a difference in their schools and communities.
"We want to create common ground where we can enhance human understanding and this collaboration among all these organizations certainly does that," said Dan Neuman, CEO of the New Center for Arts and Culture.
