I am writing "Disco Dance," for publication by Greenwood Press in "The American Dance Floor," a set of ten books edited by Ralph Giordano. DANCE, Pointe, the Village Voice, PAJ Performing + Arts Journal, Gay City News, the Durham-Herald Sun, Attitude, Artcritical.com, are some of the publications where you can find my articles. I worked as dance and art section editor at Offoffoff.com some years ago. I now serve on the Dance Critics Association board. I have a degree in painting from Alfred University and exhibited in galleries and museums, including five one-person shows. I was a 2nd violinist in the Hornell orchestra, near Alfred, and studied classical ballet in my youth with Madame Dukodovsky. In the last decade, while publishing articles on art and Brooklyn life, and taking Maki Fujita's Brooklyn ballet classes, I was hired to review a Paul Taylor dance. I was addicted. After Fujita went back to Japan, I devoted myself to watching and writing. With a 2009 Certificate in Adobe Web Design from Pace University, I am starting to design new, virtual venues for myself and others.
