Fall for Dance, that popular yearly series of mixed-bag companies performing at City Center, September 22-October 3, will have its tickets available on sale September 13 at the City Center boxoffice. The series includes (in honor of the Diaghilev centennial) a number of ballets from Ballets Russes as well as other works in tribute.

The Teatro Dell'opera Di Roma Ballet Company has had to drop out, but will be replaced by another company, to be announced. Tickets are, as usual, only $10 and go on sale at the box office. There are two programs, A and B and include "Le Spectre de la Rose" performed by the Australian
Ballet; Nijinska's (sister of Nijinsky) "Les Biches" performed by Ballet West; Boston Ballet's "Afternoon of a Faun"; and Diana Vishneva in Fokine's "Dying Swan."

Don't miss "Dance Talk" by Frederic Frankin and Georgina Parkinson, those intrepid performers, to take place in a studio at City Center before some performances, (to be announced).

Tickets can be purchased by calling CityTix® at 212-581-1212 or online at www.nycitycenter.org. Box office is at 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Pick up a snake (printed list of performances).

If you like light, cute and easy-to-take ballet, works by Christopher Wheeldon for his Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company is for you. The company's third season includes "Bolero" by Alexie Ratmansky created for the Bolshoi Ballet in 2004; husband and wife choreographic team Paul Lightfoot and Sol León of the Nederlands Dans Theater will present their duet "Softly as I Leave You;" and a new work by Tim Harbour commissioned by Morphoses is included. There are two programs: A, with the two works previously mentioned on October19 and 31; Program B with the León work, Wheeldon's new work "Suites for Two Pianos" of Rachmaninoff, (no new name for the work given)on Program B, October 30 and November 1.

The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, founded in Mexico as a showcase orchestra for composers and performers from the Americas will accompany. Tickets for the October 29 -November 1 season are on sale September 8 at City Center.
