Community-Minded Dance presents Hot Night Fusion Dances

Social Dancing and Group Classes Every Month with Guest Instructors and All-Star DJ's

Next door to the Capitol building in Denver, the local nonprofit Community-Minded Dance (cmDance) presents the Hot Night Fusion Dance Series. The next two Hot Night Fusion Dances are August 8 and September 19 held on the 2nd floor of the historic McNichols Building, 144 W. Colfax, Denver 80202 . The evening offers two dance lessons of differing styles taught by world class champions of social dancing as well as open dance floor for social dancing to DJ'd music. We are introducing a new "Introduction to the social dances" for our first time dancers. The Hot Night emphasizes the fusion dance. This growing style of dancing incorporates dance steps from Blues, Tango, Swing, and many Latin dance styles, and blends them together into a fresh new innovative art form.

Hot Night Fusion Dances offer a relaxed atmosphere of diverse dancers all eager to blend their unique styles, strengths, and backgrounds together to create something new and exciting! The welcoming environment of those attending allows even the newest of dancers to feel comfortable dancing for the first time.

Every month we feature instruction of a specific dance style which can be blended into the fusion style for social dancing to a wide variety of music. We have a strong rotation of award-winning instructors, both local and flown-in from all over the world, with a wide range of teaching styles and personalities throughout the year, keeping classes fresh and exciting. This also allows instructors to emphasize their areas of expertise and strengths.

The goal of Community-Minded Dance's Hot Nights is to make the innovation of the contemporary social dances accessible while preserving the early 20th century dances and the music that made them possible.
