Rising young choreographer Claudia Schreier will present a program of her works, including three World Premieres, Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Ailey Citigroup Theater.
The program, featuring dancers from NYCB, ABT, DTH and more will also contain an original commissioned score by multi-Emmy Award winning composer Jeff Beal (House of Cards), performed live by a string trio and piano, and the 20-member choir Tapestry, on stage, accompanying the new "Vigil," set to sacred choral music by Tomas Luis de Victoria and Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Schreier will present a stellar company of dancers: Daniel Applebaum, Lauren King and Lydia Wellington (all of NYCB), Kaitlyn Gilliland (formerly NYCB), Stephanie Williams (ABT), Da'von Doane, Francis Lawrence, and Nayara Lopes (all of DTH), Craig Wasserman (Pennsylvania Ballet), Elizabeth Claire Walker (Los Angeles Ballet), Amber Neff and Elinor Hitt (both with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet), and Drew Grant (Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada).
