A creation by Marie Chouinard for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo will be presented in world premiere on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 8 p.m. at the Salle des Princes of the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

This is a second collaboration between the choreographer and the Monaco company, which performed bODY_rEMIX/gOLDBERG_vARIATIONS - act 1 in 2012. Five years later, the
choreographer was invited to create a work for this company, directed by Jean-Christophe Maillot.

Cy Twombly Somehow brings together some fifteen talented dancers from the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, including Québécois
dancer Maude Sabourin, with whom Marie Chouinard had the pleasure of working again in Monaco.

In addition to the choreography, Marie Chouinard designed the lighting, sets, costumes and makeup. The music is an original composition by Louis Dufort, with whom the choreographer has worked for over 20 years.
