To whom it may concern,
Last night I attended the premiere performance at the Cunningham Studio of "Letters to the Editor" by the Propel-her Dance Collective. As an active member of the New York dance community for the past five years — and as a current collaborator and performer with various companies in the city — I was extremely struck by the professionalism and high quality of the work showcased last night. The choreographic integrity, willingness to take risks, honesty and grace embodied by each performer and demonstrated in each piece was inspiring to watch, as a dancer, colleague and discerning audience-member. Ultimately, I felt that "Letters to the Editor" directed much-needed attention to the current lack of space in which emerging dancers and dance-makers are able to hone their craft, collaborate on a variety of levels, share ideas and, simply, MAKE WORK.
May Propel-her continue to grow and present many more performances!
Sincerely, Ana Keilson
