A space for presenters and dance artists to gather and engage during APAP
Gotham Arts Exchange introduces Dance Meet, a space exclusively dedicated to presenters and dance artists for gathering and engagement during APAP, located in Studio 5 at New York City Center, 131 West 55th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues.

During APAP, Gotham Arts Exchange will turn Studio 5 at New York City Center into a multi-use facility with three areas intended to meet the needs of presenters and dance artists participating in APAP this year. Dance Meet will be available at all times during the day and each of its three spaces can be enjoyed concurrently.

Lecture/Seminar Area: for structured programming such as artist panels, roundtable discussions, professional development offerings, and the moderated FOCUS DANCE forums.

Presenters Lounge: a casual environment of couches, arm chairs and low lying tables will provide attendees with a comfortable place to rest and rejuvenate during the hectic APAP schedule.

Dance Meet Café: a seating area of multiple cafe tables, and a food services counter that will provide continuous food and beverage products to presenters, artists, dancers, administrative staff and agents from 9:00 am to 11:30 pm daily.

The intention of Dance Meet is to allow Presenters and Artists alike to embrace this space as a place to rest, relax, rejuvenate, and engage the entire community of dance artists that are participating in the FOCUS Dance programming in all four venues – The Joyce, Skirball Center, Symphony Space, and New York City Center.

FOCUS Dance is a new initiative to present and promote US-based dance artists to both the national and international presenting community. Featuring performances and showcases by artists from across the nation, and engagement programming that brings presenters and artists together in an environment specifically crafted for the dance community.

Gotham Arts Exchange is a non-profit arts organization created to provide administrative, management, fund raising, insurance, booking and fiscal sponsorship services for individual dance artists and dance companies.

New York City Center is New York City's leading center for dance and musical theater. Dedicated to making the arts accessible to the broadest possible audience, City Center seeks to create a welcoming environment and engage audiences with inspiring programming that reflects the eclecticism, energy and spirit of New York City.
