New York Theatre Ballet presents a Pre-Ballet Summer Program for children from July 9, 2013 through August 8, 2013 for ages 3-5 from 4-5 pm, and ages 6-8 from 5:15-6:15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the New York Theatre Ballet studios, 30 East 31st Street, 5th Floor, NYC. Tuition is $275 and there is a new student enrollment fee of $25. No audition is required, and the registration deadline is June 28, 2013.
Faculty:
Elena Zahlmann has been a principal dancer with NYTB for 13 years. She assisted choreographer Gemze de Lappe at Theater of the Stars in Atlanta, Georgia, and assisted Diana Byer in the staging of Agnes de Mille's Three Virgins and a Devil for the Alabama Ballet and Judgment of Paris and Soireé Musicale for American Ballet Theatre. She is on the faculty of NYTB's Ballet School NY.
Rachael Kosch's dances have been presented by New Music Chicago, American Women Composers, Mo Ming Dance and Arts Center, The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, 550 Broadway Dance, various festivals at Westbeth, and most recently New York Theatre Ballet. Ms. Kosch attended Herbert Berghoff Studios. After studying acting at The High School of Performing Arts, she went to New York University to major in Drama at Circle in the Square where she studied with Nikos Psacharopoulos and Jaqueline Brooks. In 1986, she graduated from Columbia College, Chicago with a degree in Choreography and Teaching. Ms. Kosch is on the faculty of the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and NYTB's Ballet School NY.
