Murder Mystery Dance Party at Dance ManhattanRobert Abrams and Joe Palmer October 28, 2005 Dance Manhattan 39 West 19th Street New York City 212-807-0824 Notes by Joe Palmer Ms. Farrah Fox - Meadow hosted a birthday bash for 104 year-old Texas oil baron, Reginald I.Piermont III at her fabulous Manhattan loft. All of New York's high society was there. The guest list included: * Annabeth Kingsley - RIP III's newest acquisition; 21 year-old wife and now heiress to the Piermont fortune. * The Castleton Twins, Mimi & Gigi - granddaughters and former heiresses to the Piermont fortune. * Heather & Brock - Stars of The Manhattan Hour and slated to star in the latest Piermont Production, Those Crazy Dancin' Shoes. They are also long-time friends of Ms. Farrah. * Cali - the haute couturier, known worldwide for her sumptuous creations and her killer shoes. * Penny Pelham - Reporter known for her outlandish celebrity articles and "gift for the gab". Currently her work is seen on page 6 of "The Daily Scoop". * Police Commissioner McCabe - NYC Police Commissioner and long-time friend of Ms. Farrah and RIP III.
Throughout the night the guests mingled in the lounge while sampling the delectable desserts baked for the occasion. Reginald, or Reggie as he is known to his former lover Ms. Farrah, was the life of the party. His granddaughters couldn't have been more proud. The only glitch, of course, was that he showed up unexpectedly with his new wife Annabeth Kingsley. With the help of Penny Pelham we discovered that Annabeth had plans for the Piermont fortune that didn't include the twins or the new show starring Heather & Brock. She and Gigi got into a heated argument while Ms. Farrah was getting ready to present Reggie with his gift - a truly FABULOUS song and dance. Ms. Farrah made it very clear during her number that she didn't want Annabeth at her party. After all the performances the guest returned to the lounge to sing Happy Birthday to Reggie. However, when Annabeth left to turn out the lights fate caught up with her. Someone strangled her to death using a scarf worn by Mimi Castleton. Police Commissioner McCabe took control of the situation and interrogated the guests. We found that all arrows were pointing to the twins until someone noticed that Cali was wearing Annabeth's ring. The Commissioner asked her to explain and she turned on the crowd and pulled out a gun. She was arrested on the spot. When asked why she did it her only response was "She wore white shoes after Labor Day!" Notes by Robert Abrams This was a fabulous party with a live swing band. The characters and the show were very entertaining. The dancing was fun and the food was good. All in all, this was an enjoyable pre-Halloween event that was refreshingly different than the typical dance party. Annabeth Kingsley and Reginald I. Piermont III Photo courtesy of Robert Abrams
